I See with My Inner Eye
Video and Kinetic Sculpture
The exhibition presents works that reflect my memories from the past, transitioning from images to video and sculpture. The repetitive movement, whether as part of a household routine or as a ritual, is central to the exhibition. In the video works, within the domestic space, the movements of my mother around me are portrayed, at times nurturing and protective, at other times threatening. These movements range from mimicking a child's bath to accompanying a ritual of "tap-tap bullet," a folk cure for the evil eye, where molten tin is poured into water over my head. The tin hardens and shrinks during the ritual, connecting with the movement of the kinetic sculpture in the space, continuing the exploration of the relationships and tensions that lie within them.
